Dividends

GIL’s dividend policy is to pay out the majority of the economic income received from its investments, after payment or provision for operating and financing expenses.

The expected amount and key dates for dividends declared by the Board of Directors are advised via SGX-ST Announcements.

GIL has also adopted a scrip dividend scheme, which will provide shareholders with the opportunity to make an election to receive dividends in the form of shares, instead of in cash. The Manager of GIL will notify shareholders when the scheme is activated.

2H11 Distribution

On 7 February 2012, the Board of GIL declared a final dividend of 0.75 Singapore cent per share for the period from 1 July 2011 to 31 December 2011 ("2H2011 Dividend"). The dividend was paid on 5 March 2012.

On 12 August 2011, the Board of GIL declared a final dividend of 0.75 Singapore cent per share for the period from 1 January 2011 to 30 June 2011 ("1H2011 Dividend"). The dividend was paid on 12 September 2011.

2H10 Distribution

On 30 December 2010, the Board of GIL declared a final dividend of 0.5 Singapore cent per share for the period from 1 July 2010 to 31 December 2010 ("2H2010 Dividend"). The dividend was paid on 31 January 2011.

On 10 August 2010, the Board of GIL declared an interim dividend oof 0.5 Singapore cent per share for the period from 1 January 2010 to 30 June 2010. The dividend was paid on 15 September 2010.

2H09 Distribution

On 21 December 2009, the Board of GIL declared a final dividend of 1.0 Singapore cent per share for the period from 1 July 2009 to 31 December 2009 ("2H2009 Dividend"). The dividend was paid on 25 February 2010.

On 4 June 2009, the Board of GIL declared an interim dividend of 2.0 Singapore cents per share in respect of the period ended 30 June 2009. The dividend was paid on 20 August 2009.
